Prescriber Led, Not Over the Counter

Hair and scalp preparations are among the more commonly compounded topicals, usually because a prescriber wants a strength or a combination that is not manufactured, or a vehicle that suits a particular scalp.

We do not advise on whether a treatment is suitable for you, and we cannot supply one without a prescription. That conversation belongs with your doctor. What we can tell you and your prescriber is what is achievable to prepare, what it will cost and how long it takes.

Preparations are made on site at our Surfers Paradise pharmacy and can be couriered Australia wide.

How to Get One Prepared

1. Talk to your prescriber

Compounded medicines cannot be supplied without a prescription. Tell your doctor, specialist, dentist or vet what is not working and ask whether it can be compounded.

2. Send us the prescription

Bring it in, post it, or send it through online. Call us first if you would like a price and a timeframe before you commit.

3. Collect or have it delivered

Pick it up at Piazza 16, 3221 Surfers Paradise Boulevarde, or we courier it Australia wide through Aramex.

No. Every compounded preparation we make requires a current prescription from a registered prescriber. Speak to your doctor first.
That is not a question a pharmacy can answer, and you should be cautious of anyone who does. Effectiveness depends on the cause, the treatment chosen and the individual, which is why a prescriber is involved.
Some preparations are ready the same day, others take longer if an ingredient needs ordering. Call us with the prescription details and we will give you a realistic timeframe.
